Calvary Youth Clean Celebration
Park
On December 10th a group of Calvary’s youth spent an afternoon
at Celebration Park in Federal Way picking up cigarette butts.
This activity helped clean the park and earned some money for
future youth activities at Calvary.
Confirmation & High School Youth
Confirmation and High School youth group will resume on the
8th of January. Our parents will join us that day. We meet every
Sunday afternoon from 12:15-2:00 P.M.
We will not meet on Sunday, January 29.
There will be no High School
groups meeting on February 19.
Trip to Shoshone Was Great!
On June 19-24, Calvary's youth
traveled to Idaho for a week of learning, service, and fun. Take
a look at some of our pictures from the trip to
Shoshone.
High School Graduates Honored
Several of
our members created beautiful pillows for our high school
graduates. The pillows were presented in worship on June 5th.
The pillows will be a nice reminder to the graduates of their
family at Calvary and the good wishes we have for them in their
future endeavors.
Scholarship To Support Youth
Faith and Talent Growth
Each year Calvary provides a Scholarship to Support Youth Faith and Talent Growth.
This opportunity is for high school-aged youth who wish to
attend a summer Lutheran- based leadership or ministry program,
conference, or camp. There will be a maximum of $1,000
designated from the Undesignated Memorial Fund to be awarded to
one or more youth each year.

scholarship

If you have any questions, please contact Waverly Hagen, Jake
Scott or
Margaret (Peggy) Peterson through the
church office.
Imagine Yourself
This is a Ning for Calvary's young adults (an online
platform that allows people to create their own social networks)
that encourages them to talk about dreams,
goals and hopes. You can meet with others to discuss God's call
to each of us. Check it out!

Faith Lens: Helping Youth
Connect Life and Faith
Have you ever wondered how to help
young people better understand their daily lives and world
events in the context of their faith and scripture?
Faith Lens,
a free online weekly Bible study for youth can do just that.
This Bible study is presented by our synod (ELCA) and is
designed for senior-high age youth but is adaptable for young
adults and adult groups. You will find a current news story and
related discussion questions that corresponds to the lessons
discussed in worship (following the Lectionary).
