High School Graduates Honored
On June 6th we congratulated and blessed our high school
graduates, Katie Peterson and Brian Moe. They were given a
handmade quilt in celebration of this event. The quilts were
made by Corky Black, Bonnie Nagode, Denise Achman, and Claudia
Vedvick and will be, no doubt, cherished by these two young
people.
Summer Hikes Two additional
family hikes have been planned. The first one is Wednesday,
August 11 at Hylebos Park (411 S. 348th St., Federal Way). We
will have another hike at Dash Point State Park (5700 SW Dash
Pt. Road, Federal Way) on August 25. Both hikes begin at 6:30
p.m. Meet at the park, bring a sack lunch, if you want. Lace up
your hiking boots, and join us!

Imagine Yourself
This is a Ning for Calvary's young adults (an online
platform that allows people to create their own social networks)
that encourages them to talk about dreams,
goals and hopes. You can meet with others to discuss God's call
to each of us. Check it out!

Faith Lens: Helping Youth
Connect Life and Faith
Have you ever wondered how to help
young people better understand their daily lives and world
events in the context of their faith and scripture?
Faith Lens,
a free online weekly Bible study for youth can do just that.
This Bible study is presented by our synod (ELCA) and is
designed for senior-high age youth but is adaptable for young
adults and adult groups. You will find a current news story and
related discussion questions that corresponds to the lessons
discussed in worship (following the Lectionary).
